Hi Rob, Thanks for the reply. As an example, a few of us from architecture recently engaged colleagues from Digital Studies and the School of Information and identified an overlapping interest in ubiquitous connectivity, including social media feeds, smartphones, mobile apps, responsive design, algorithmic recommendation systems, and voice-controlled home shopping assistants. Here, the cross-disciplinary conversation would focus on the immersive context of the everyday digital that we all participate in and that inevitably influences what we do. Other technologies would be Head Mounted Displays for AR/VR/MR (Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Mixed Reality), Internet of Things (IoT), two other terms stemming from the IoT, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Internet of Places (IoP)], spatial computing, as well as GPS. I imagine planning to be a player in such a conversation as well, which is perhaps something to discuss at our retreat!
